Deborah Lynn Beck

October 20, 1953 — April 2, 2022

Deborah Lynn Arant Beck departed this world to return home to her Heavenly Father on April 2, 2022. Debbie was born in Superior, Wisconsin on October 20, 1953, to Cecil and Norma Arant. She grew up in Monroe and graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1971. In 1979, she began working for State Farm Insurance where she made many dear friends. Debbie married Robert Beck in 1985 and had two children: Stacey Geter Evans and Wesley Beck. She retired from State Farm in 2019 after many years of service.

Debbie was an avid college football fan and loved watching LSU and ULM games. All who knew her will remember her as a selfless and compassionate woman. She loved life and had a soft spot for animals. Debbie always had an eye for fashion and interior design, and her guidance and opinions were often sought by her friends and family. Above all, Debbie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She would do anything for her loved ones and took great joy and satisfaction in caring for her beloved family. She was a strong and steady voice of reason, comfort, and encouragement to those around her, and she will be dearly missed.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Arant. She is survived by her mother, Norma Arant; husband, Bob Beck; children, Stacey Geter Evans and Wesley Beck; grandchildren, Jaden, Rowan, Evan, Grace, and Solomon; siblings, Glen Arant (wife Danna), Layne Arant (wife Kerry); sister, Janis Battaglia; and dear family friend, Jana Heidy; and several nieces and nephews.

At Debbie’s request, no public funeral or visitation will be held. There will be a private family service and burial at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her name are asked to consider a donation to the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe, Inc.
