David "Tomahawk" Jones

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of David “Tomahawk” Jones, 72, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Dr. Jim Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in the Gwin Memorial Cemetery in Mangham, LA.

Mr. Jones was born in Pineville, LA on January 28, 1945, to Arthur and Louise Jones, and passed away in Bastrop, LA on December 19, 2017. He retired from Graphic Packaging and served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. David was a member of Ridge Ave Baptist Church. He loved fishing and music.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Patricia A. Jones; daughter, Carla D. Gray and husband, Matthew; son, Michael D. Jones and wife, Sarah; five grandchildren, Damian Jones, Brandon Jones, Kaitlin Malone, John David Gray, and Sam Gray; and three great grandchildren; sisters, Jo Ann Davis, Carolyn Davis, Shirley McCollum, Brenda Pierce, and Nell D’Antoni; brother, Randy Jones; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Damian Jones, Brandon Jones, Roy Price, Kevin Rikard, Jerry Williams, and Paul Williams.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the Ridge Ave Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Savannah Cottage in Bastrop, LA and also to the staff of 1st Choice Hospice, especially Katie and Jean, for the love and care they all gave to David during his illness.
