David Richey Marine

A simple celebration of life for David Richey Marine will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday July 6, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Dr. Woods Watson officiating.

David was born on May 29, 1954 in Monroe, LA., and passed away on July 3, 2023, in West Monroe after a lengthy struggle with cancer.

David was a member of the First West Baptist Church in West Monroe and was a member of the Helping Hands Life Group.  He was a volunteer at the First West Thrift Store and loved the staff and other volunteers. David retired from Texas Gas Transmission and the Louisiana Department of Transportation. David was a 32^nd degree Mason and Shriner.   He is preceded in death by his parents, William “Billy” and Mary Elizabeth Trew Marine; sister Misty Marine Trull; nephew, Christopher Lawson; Father-in-law, Charles “Buddy” Jones.

Survivors include his wife Betty J. Marine; son, Brooks Marine; brother, William “Bill” Marine and wife Betty; brother-in-law, Gerald Trull; mother-in-law, Dorothy Jones; Sister-in- law, Kathy Jones Landry; nieces, Brandi Marine McDougle (Jimmy), Julia Trull, Maggie Trull; nephews Trey McDougle, Kyle McDougle.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday July 6, 2023
