Memorial services for David Franklyn Spruell, Sr., 73, of Monroe, will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, September 18, 2017, at Memorial Baptist Church, 170 Moore Road, Monroe, with Rev. Roger Stoffer officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Spruell was born on July 4, 1944 in Bristol, England and passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, West Monroe, LA. He was a great man with abundant love for his family and his animals.
Mr. Spruell was predeceased by his parents, Julius Edward and Violet May Comley Spruell.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Spruell; 4 sons, David Spruell, Jr. and wife Michelle, Eric Spruell, Ryan Spruell and wife Heather, and William Spruell; 2 daughters, Lisa Alford, and Chris Hall Ingram and wife Betsy; 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PAWS of Northeast Louisiana.
