Funeral services for David Franklin Knickerbocker, 77, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2016, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Lynn Malone officiating. A private family graveside will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.Mr. Knickerbocker died March 15, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired contractor from GD Knickerbocker, Inc. He will be remembered for his love of his family, especially his two granddaughters and his random acts of kindness.Mr. Knickerbocker was preceded in death by his wife, Addie H. Knickerbocker; and parents, George and Gladys Knickerbocker.Survivors include son, Brian Knickerbocker and wife Jessica; daughter, Angela Thomas and husband Brian; granddaughters, Kaleigh Thomas and Laura Kate Thomas; brothers, George Douglas Knickerbocker and Bobby Knickerbocker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Adams, Jimmy Thomas, Charlie Williams, Dusty Daniels, Scott Thomas, Ken Hayes, Jim Dimos, and The Men’s Bible Class of First United Methodist Church.Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and 1:00 PM until service time Thursday, at the church.The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Charles Morgan, Dr. Larry T.
