Graveside services for David Earl Powell, 82, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2018, at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA.
Mr. Powell was born January 5, 1936, in Monroe, LA, and died Friday, August 10, 2018, at Ouachita Healthcare Nursing Home. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was a draftsman with Ford Bacon & Davis, RHS Engineering, and Hunt, Guillot, and Associates. Mr. Powell was an avid golfer and loved his grandchildren and dogs.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his wife, Jalna May Powell; and parents, Jack Powell and Beatrice Frost Powell.
Survivors include his son, Mark Powell of Monroe; daughters, Dana Minton (Steve) of Conesus, NY, and Rebekah Huffman (Dennis) of Aledo, TX; brother, John Powell (Anna) of West Monroe; grandchildren, Maddux Minton, Audrey Minton, Isabelle Huffman, and Avery Huffman; nephew, Chad Powell; and niece, Jessica Powell.
