Funeral services for David Bryan Robertson “Super Dave”, 58, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 7, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Roger Stoffer officiating. Interment will follow at Hall Cemetery, Richland Parish, LA.
Mr. Robertson was born in Monroe, LA on August 18, 1958. He went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Enid, OK. He started working with KBR Construction as a crane operator and finished his final job with them. “Super Dave” enjoyed fishing “when he had time”, and loved watching football. He was a diehard Saints and LSU fan “Yes even in there bad seasons”. David “Super Dave” was the best operator there ever was. He loved his job and the people he met over the years. Mr. Robertson cherished the time he had with family and friends. He was always a strong shoulder and backbone of the family. David was an Amazing Daddy who always showed his kids love, compassion and understanding. He taught them that no matter how much or how little they had, as long as they had each other they had it all…
Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his parents, James (Buster) and Edna Mae Robertson; and brother, Ronald (Lucky) Robertson.
Survivors include his beautiful wife of 35 years, Sharon Wood Robertson; 4 children, Bud Teston “Robertson”, Eric Teston “Robertson” and wife Stephanie, Michelle Spruell “Robertson” and husband David, and Bridget Conerly “Robertson” and husband Matthew; 4 brothers, James Robertson of Jonesboro, LA, Robert Robertson of Wisner, LA, Jerry Robertson and wife Rebecca of Kinder, LA, and Terry Robertson and wife Maria of Ocean Springs, MS; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren with 2 more blessings on the way; numerous nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Pallbearers will be Bo Hamilton, John Poole, Danny Dixon, Jessie Meza, Greg Jones, and James Dabbs. Honorary Pallbearers are Gilbert Davis and Ronnie Comeaux.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 6, 2017, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
