Danny G. Miller

March 19, 1942 — June 28, 2017

Danny G. Miller passed away on June 28, 2017 after battling a lengthy illness. He donated his body to the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Power Church International, 2990 Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA, with his dear friend Pastor Moses Perkins officiating.

Danny was born March 19, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Gus and Dora Miller. He married Connie Weaver Miller on March 2, 1942. Danny was a U. S. Army veteran and a retired lieutenant with the Monroe City Police Department.

Danny was a simple but loving man. In his spare time he enjoyed playing and watching golf, building and painting bird houses, spending time with his family, talking on the phone with his brother, Bill, and watching TV (especially sports and the cooking show).

Danny is survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie; daughter, Mackie Lowery and husband Will and their daughter, Whitney; daughter, Danielle Miller and her children, Abigail and Gabriella; son, Jacob Miller and fiancé Veronica and children, Destinee, Leena, Jacob “Papa” Miller, Jr, Dillon, Alysha, Jason, Maria, and granddaughter, Aaliyah; brothers, Daryl Miller and Bill Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Bob and Joy Weaver; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Miller and Merrily Miller.
