Daniel Martin Sayko, 36, died June 19, 2021. He was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on January 9, 1985, the son of Lisa Marie Martin Edwards and Rick Sayko.
Daniel always strove to be the strongest man spiritually, physically, and mentally. He worked daily on being who God intended him to be. It wasn’t always an easy road for him, but he worked at it diligently. He had many successes in his life. He won several district and state titles in track and cross country during his years at West Monroe High School. His achievements provided an athletic scholarship to Louisiana State University. He holds records to this day.
He loved his family and friends passionately. His daughter, Roselyn Marie was the apple of his eye.
Daniel’s goal was to help others. For those who were discouraged or in need, Daniel lent a helping hand and words of encouragement. He truly was an amazing father, brother, son, and friend. He had plans to become a wonderful husband as well.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Lisa, and grandparents Jim and Jimmye Ann Robbins.
He is survived by his daughter Roselyn Sayko, fiancé Caitlyn Bracke, his sister Stacy Sayko and her fiancé Ricky Sullivan, his sister Kristy Robertson and her husband Jason Robertson, his brothers Daniel Morrow and Brandon Morrow, his grandparents Charles Martin, Hope Martin, and Joy Mathis, and his nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, July 10, at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe. 300 McMillan Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291.
