Memorial services for Daniel “Danny” Odus McCurry Jr., 53, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 11, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Kevin Stewart officiating.

Daniel "Danny" Odus McCurry Jr., passed away on December 4, 2023, in West Monroe, Louisiana, at the age of 53. He was born on September 2, 1970, in Monroe.

Mr. McCurry was an outspoken son, brother, and father, known for his love of the outdoors. He spent most of his time hunting and fishing, immersing himself in nature's beauty. Danny had a deep passion for Confederate history and delighted in sharing random facts with his children.

He is survived by his father, Daniel McCurry Sr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Ray Gasca; his children, April Takewell and husband Terry, Courtney McCurry, and Joshua McCurry; as well as his niece, Sierra Gasca; and nephew, DaKota Gasca. Danny also leaves behind his beloved granddaughter, Leighlah Faie Takewell.

Danny's mother, Linda McCurry, preceded him in death. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Daniel will be remembered for his vibrant personality and his love for the great outdoors.
