Funeral Services for Danelle Leigh Avant, 50, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 23, 2023, at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Werner Aswell officiating. Interment will follow in New Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday.

Ms. Avant was born April 17, 1973, in West Monroe, LA, and passed away July 17, 2023, at her residence in West Monroe, LA.

Danelle graduated from West Monroe High School in 1991 where she was a member of the Rebel Band. She then went on to graduate from Louisiana Tech University School of Nursing where she obtained her Nursing Degree and had a wonderful career as a registered nurse.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph “Joe” Avant; grandparents, James “Buck” and Bernice Avant; and Sheriff Sanford and Clara Jordan.

She is survived by her mother, Wandra “Sue” Avant; brother, David Avant (Deidre); nieces, Rusti Murphy (Zach), Kari Beth Avant, and Maggie Avant; great nephew, Ransom Murphy; and a special friend, Paul New.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bryant, Glenn Springfield, Dylan Saterfiel, Zach Murphy, Pistol Carter, and Mark Hatton.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital, Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter, or River City Humane Society for cats.
