Cordell S. King

Funeral Services for Mr. Cordell S. King, 69, of Eros, LA, will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 9, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Mike and Ann Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in Beulah Methodist Church Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.

Mr. King was born November 1, 1948, and passed away January 4, 2018. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and he was a retired Captain from West Monroe Fire Department. Mr. King loved music, especially Gospel and he enjoyed playing the drums. He loved riding horses and especially, Team Roping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. V.C. and Irma King; two daughters, Brandy King and Tabitha King.

Survivors include his wife, Grace King; daughter, Daffney Ferrington (Richard) and their children, Zayla, Lochlyn and Thoryn; sister, Violet Crowson (D.L.); special nephew, Tommy Crowson (Tracie); special great nephews, Justin Crowson and Brandon Turner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis Chapman (Susan), Joyce Smalling, Kim Smith (Ray), Paul Chapman (Wendy) and Bruce Chapman (Patti); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be the West Monroe Fire Department.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Cary Brooks, Terry Fuller, Basil Fuller and Gary Thomas.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 8, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
