Clyde W. Kapp Jr.

Graveside Services for Mr. Clyde W. Kapp, Jr., 80, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Cemetery in West Monroe, LA with Dr. Kevin Stewart and Rev. James Gardner officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Kapp was born on October 5, 1940 in Tucumcari, NM and passed away in Monroe, LA on February 1, 2021. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1962 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Kapp was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He was also a self-taught electrical Engineer. Mr. Kapp worked for West Virginia Pulp and Paper, Boise Southern, and Willamette Industries, where he worked as a plant engineer in charge of building paper mills all over the country. In 1975 Mr. Kapp opened his own business, Pump Services Inc., and maintained ownership until 2019. Mr. Kapp was a member of McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Kapp is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Wilson Kapp, Sr. and Nancy Berry Kapp; brothers, Johnny Kapp and Robert Kapp and his step-son, Charles Martin Winters “Marty”.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Martin Kapp; children, Vanessa W. Tolar and husband, Phillip, Clyde Wilson Kapp, III. and wife, Carolyn McGraw Kapp, Wendy Kapp Cranford and husband, Wayne and Bonny Winters Perkins and husband, Shawn; grandchildren, Joshua Tolar, Hannah Donaldson and husband, Lee, Lauren Kapp, Kyle Perkins, Sidney Winters, Ethan Cranford and wife, Macy, Madison Winters, Anna Cranford, Daniel Berry, Aiden Winters, and Nathan Donaldson; great grandchildren, Addison and one other.

Pallbearers will be Phil Tolar, Lee Donaldson, Clyde Kapp, Josh Tolar, Wayne Cranford, and Ethan Cranford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Berry, Nathan Donaldson, Aiden Winters, and Shawn Perkins.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the McClendon Baptist Church Building Fund.
