In Loving Memory of Clinton Nash Wycoff

A Celebration of Life for Clinton Nash Wycoff, 81, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA with Rev. William Sikes. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM prior to the Memorial Service.
Clint was born in Houston, Texas on April 6, 1936 and peacefully went to heaven on Friday, June 23, 2017 surrounded by his children and grandchildren after a brief battle with bladder cancer and other complications. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Hardy Wycoff and Caroline Elizabeth Wycoff; brother Richard (Dick) Wycoff and wife, Lynn; brother William (Bill) Wycoff and his wife, the love of his life, Carol Cooper Wycoff (“Honey” to all who knew and loved her).
Clint was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where he and his two brothers lived an adventurous childhood filled with fishing, hunting, playing sports, and telling lots of stories. He met and married his high school sweetheart, Carol Ann Cooper, in New Orleans in 1955 and they raised a family of four children. Clint and Carol were blissfully married for 57 years and their love and unity was a shining example of how life should be lived. Clint’s greatest joy in life was providing for his family and after his retirement, he devoted his life to the care of Honey until her passing in 2012.
Clint’s second greatest joy in life was the great outdoors and he was a true “Man’s Man” in every sense of the word. Clint really was “The Winchester Man” working for Winchester Firearms and then retiring from Smith & Wesson as the Western Region Manager for the U.S. It didn’t matter if he was shooting skeet or trap, hunting in the woods, being on a boat fishing, or in his later years, golfing, he loved being outdoors with the guys and his children - you know who you are and he cherished his time with you.
Clint was a loving son, a devoted brother, and a doting father to his children. He was a caring and hard-working boss and was always an honest man. In his life he was humorous, generous, and loving to his family, children, friends, and loved ones.
Clint was known as “Pop” to those who loved him most and is survived by his daughters, Kerry Battermann and husband, Wayne; Cindy Bonner and husband, Junior; his sons, Craig Wycoff and wife, Kay; Kenneth Wycoff and wife, Vicki; his grandchildren, Brandi Kent and husband, Steven; Bethany Trichel and husband, Vance; Brittany Wycoff, Clint Wycoff II and fiancé, Brooke; Kristin Parsons and husband, Quentin; his great grandchildren, Katelyn and Greyson Trichel; and Elizabeth and Jeri Kent; his brother in law, Robert Cooper and wife, Kay of Mobile, AL; and his sister in law, Diane Cooper of Naples, FL.
Pop was never quite the same after the loss of Honey and we know that they are together again in Heaven. Their legacy will live on in the next generations and we will miss him deeply.
In lieu of flowers, Pop would be honored if a Memorial Donation be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, Arthritis Foundation, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. Online Registry/Condolences may be made to the family at www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com.
