Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Claude Adams Causey, Jr., 77, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 2, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Pastor Stuart Sherman officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Causey was born on April 26, 1939 in Monroe, LA and passed away on November 27, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. He attended Neville High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army. Mr. Causey served in the Korean DMZ and two tours in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star before retiring from the Army in 1976. He also retired from Melvin and Simon Associates where he worked as the Maintenance Supervisor for Twin City Mall in Monroe. He was a member of Claiborne United Methodist Church, Sky Warn Weather Tracking Service, Northeast LA ARES/Twin City Ham Radio Club, The Red Cross Defense, and volunteered at many Veterans and Community functions.
He is preceded in death by his father, Claude A. Causey, Sr.; his mother, Anita Barrier; sister, Beverly Causey Smith; brother, Albert Causey; and daughter-in-law, Connie Causey.
Mr. Causey is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol Sherman Causey; his son, Claude Causey, III (Terry), son, William G. Causey and his wife, DeAnna; daughter, Michelle Causey Morris and her husband, Keith; five grandchildren, Terrance Causey, Breanna Causey, Jason Causey, Taylor Morris and Chase Morris; and his great grandson, Luke; sister, Sheila Wyatt Massey; brother-in-law, John A. Smith; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Smith, Brent Smith, John Sanderson, Steve Wyatt, Tom Chambers and Chase Morris.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
