Funeral services for Clarence Eugene “Gene” Roswell, 83, of Sterlington, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 26, 2010, at Paron Baptist Church with Rev. Kurt Auger and Rev. Jarrod Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Roswell passed away on March 23, 2010, at the Union General Hospital. He worked and retired from IMC after 41years. Mr. Roswell umpired and refereed high school athletics. He was a member of Paron Baptist Church where he spent countless hours doing construction and maintenance projects. He was a gifted athlete and an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Roswell was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Roswell and children, Patricia Ann, Chuck, and Deborah.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Jones, Gary Tubbs, Hank Snell, Greg Bonner, Tony Silmon, Gordon Gregg, Bruce Gregg, James Well, and David Stuart.
Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time Friday at Paron Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Paron Baptist Church.
His friends and extended family would like to express a special thanks to caregivers Bonnie and Mary, and to the staff at Farmerville Nursing Rehab Center for their special care of Mr. Gene.
