Mr. Clarence Donald Fox, 95, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:30AM Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA, with Rev. Christina Fox Banda officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until 11:00AM Thursday at the funeral home.
C. D. Fox was born on May 20, 1927, in Garnett, KS, and passed away on August 27, 2022, in Monroe. C.D. resided in Iowa until being invited by the US Army to join. While stationed in Germany, he met and married his beloved wife, Irmgard. They were married 69 ½ years prior to her death. Command Sgt. Major Fox retired after 24 years, having served in WWII, Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Eva Martindale (Iowa); father, Fred Fox (Iowa); wife Irmgard C. Fox; grandson, Donald F. Fox; great grandson, Leo Donald Walters; and son-in-law, Herbert (Herbie) J. Rock.
Survivors include sons, M. Fox and ex wife Harriet and S. D. Fox; daughters, Christina Banda and husband Victor and Barbara Fox Rock; grandchildren, Michael G. Fox and wife Kathy, Roberta Fox Cuccurello and husband Mike, Robert Fox and wife Lauren, Marcus Joseph Gray, Timothy Gray and wife Sadie, Rachael Gray and husband Chris, Gerhart A. Clarence, and Mike Fox, Crystal Rock Walters and husband Lance, Kathy Rock Bean and husband Brandon, and H. Joseph Rock and wife Heather; and 21 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Gray, Joseph Rock, Lance Walters, Brandon Bean, and Chris Yeager.
Honorary pallbearer will be Marcus J. Gray.
Memorials may be made to anything that has to do with Veterans.
