Chloie Mae Simons May, 85, of West Monroe went to be with the Lord Friday May 23, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
Chloie was born March14, 1929 in Jackson Parish, LA, and was the youngest of four siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bunyan and Anna Simons, brother Oles and sisters, Elma Becton and Ozza Bullen and her husband of 53 years Winston.
Chloie was a devoted member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and was an accomplished seamstress and quilter and a member of the North Louisiana Quilter Guild.
Survivors include her three sons, Chris and wife Jane of Eros, LA., Gary and wife Phyllis of Columbia, TN., Kevin and wife Patricia of Kennesaw, GA; six grandchildren: Gregg May and wife Julie, Tadd May and wife Jamie, Brett May and wife Jenny, Wendy Jacob and husband Quinn, Robert Woodall and wife Maria, and Eric May; twenty-two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday May 26, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Larry Odell and Rev. Stuart Sherman officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday May 25, 2014 and from 2:00 P.M. until service time Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
The family would like to express its deep appreciation to the caring staff of Ridgecrest Community Care Center and St. Francis Hospital emergency room and staff of sixth floor.
