Graveside services for Mrs. Cheryl Lynne Elliott Roach, 71, of Monroe will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Craig Ferguson will officiate.
Mrs. Roach died Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Roach was a member and Elder at First Christian Church of Monroe and an Ordained Minister of the Christian Church. Cheryl served as a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader and director of youth camps. She loved working with the youth of the church! She began and directed Hand Bell Choir as well as sang and directed the church choir. She was a member of Piney Hills Harmonic Chorus. She was a graduate of Neville High School and Phillips University, Enid Oklahoma. She was retired from Centurylink (now Lumen).
Cheryl was preceded in death by: her husband Jimmie Lofton Roach, father David Charles Elliott, Sr., brother-in-law Billy Roach, and sister-in-law Kaye Roach.
Survivors include: son Michael Roach and wife Cindy, daughter Jenny Boals and fiancé Dustin Fontenot, step-daughter Julie Malenfant and husband Doug; grandchildren David and Melissa Roach and Abby and Brooklyn Boals; mother Norma Lee Elliott; sister Janet Williams (Jim), brothers Charlie Elliott (Jackie), Thom Elliott and Phillip Elliott; brother-in law Johnny Roach, sister-in-law Alice Roach, numerous nieces and nephews, and many more loved ones that knew her as “Aunt Cheryl”.
