Charlotte Inez Peterson Wilkes

Funeral services for Charlotte Inez Peterson Wilkes, 74, of Start, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 16, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, with Rev. Kurt Auger and Rev. Ronnie Parks officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery, Girard, LA.


Mrs. Wilkes was born February 18, 1944, in Goose Creek, TX, and passed away on September 12, 2018, in Start, LA, following a lengthy illness. She was a member of Paron Baptist Church. She loved baking, buying gifts, and doing for family and friends.

Mrs. Wilkes was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Wilson Peterson; and brother, Edwin Wilson Peterson, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Dae Wilkes, Jr; children, Scarlett Jenny, and Seth Ashley Wilkes; mother, Mary Nale Peterson; sister, Cathy Martin and husband Danny; nieces, Angie Martin and Lucy Woods.


Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
