Charles Trenton "Trent" Drane

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles Trenton "Trent" Drane, will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Mangham United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marshall Sevier and Rev. Jimmy Wilkins officiating.
Trent was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on August 24, 2021, at St Francis Medical center in Monroe, LA after a brief illness.
He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick William "Bill" Drane; brother, David Drane; father-in-law, Will Henry Hastings and nephew, Dustin Hastings.
Trent was a devoted and loving husband and father, and was known as a true and cherished friend to many. His ability to make and nourish friendships throughout his life was one of his most endearing qualities.
Growing up in Delhi, Trent graduated from Riverfield Academy and Louisiana Tech University. Trent retired from the natural gas industry to spend quality time with his family. He was a dedicated and respected employee and coworker.
A man of many talents and skills, Trent was known to share these gifts with others unselfishly. Growing up on a farm and working with his father, he learned the skills and work ethic that set the tone for his entire life. He was a proficient welder/fitter, equipment operator, and mechanic. He shared his love of antique tractor restoration with his son. Trent was a member of the Boeuf River Antique Tractor Pull Inc.
Trent was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, metal detecting and all things nature and history. He shared these experiences with his many friends, enjoyed his life and enriched the life of all who were blessed to know him.
Trent’s greatest pleasure and best friends were his wife of twenty-six years Mary Ann and his son Whitfield. They enjoyed traveling, making treasured traditions and having special experiences together. Trent shared his talents and skills with Whit. They enjoyed tractor pulling, blacksmithing, locomotives, reconstructing tractors and rebuilding motors together.
Trent was an active member of the Mangham United Methodist Church and Gideons International.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Hastings Drane; son, William Whitfield Drane; mother and step-father, Cynthia and Jim Peironnet; brother, Chris Drane; mother-in-law, Hettie Hastings; and brother-in-law, Nolan Hastings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mangham United Methodist Church or Gideon's International.
