Monday, November 19, 2018 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Waymond Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, in Monroe, LA. Family accepting visitation following the interment at Fair Park Baptist Church in West Monroe.
Mr. Woodcock was born in New Orleans on September 10, 1945 but very soon after, he and his family moved north to West Monroe. He fell in love with this small town that became his home.
During his time in West Monroe, he made numerous friends and loved them all. In fact there are few who do not have a special story they remember of him. Whether it be his sports accolades, his guitar playing, his time in the military, or his unique outlook on life, everyone was touched by him in some sort of way.
He married Pam in February of 1972 and they began a life full of love and friendship spanning 46 years. In that time they had two children, Charles David and Amy. David blessed him with daughter-in-law Sarah, and three grandchildren-Koby, Kylie, and Parker. Amy married Andy Bozeman extending the family even more.
Woody was a firm believer in the Lord and his favorite verse was to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you"- Luke 6:31. He celebrated his love of Christ at Fair Park Sunday school and never missed a chance to visit with his lifelong friends at the Rebel Lunch Bunch. He was a unique character who had a wonderful zest for life. He will be missed by all.
Pallbearers will be Davis Trousdale, Neil Sidders, Dickie Jackson, Charles Van Zile, Mike Shephard, and Lonnie Shows. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the West Monroe High School Lunch Bunch.
Visitation will be at 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
