Charles Jr. Traxler

Memorial services for Charles Traxler, Jr., 61, of Monroe, will be held at 6:30 PM, Thursday, October 25, 2012 in the Chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Traxler passed away Monday, October 22, 2012, at his residence. After retiring as state fire marshal he worked for Brook’s flowers.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Swartz and the Sons of the Confederate Veterans.

Mr. Traxler was preceded in death by his father, Charles Traxler, Sr.; and daughter, Teri Lyn Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Traxler; children, Christie Hemphill, Rachael Hudnall, Brandi Blocker; mother, Gloria Traxler; sister, Janelle Bowman; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Roger Esterling, Thomas Taylor, David Blocker, Chris Hudnall, Justin Jones, Caleb Hudnall, and Michael Bowman.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the funeral home.
