Funeral services for Mr. Charles H. (Charlie) Lawson, 78 of Grayson, LA. will be held at 11:00 A.M Tuesday March 27, 2018 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. John Hankins and James Lawson officiating. Interment will be in the Northeast Louisiana Veteran Cemetery in Rayville, LA.
Charlie was born in Hartshorn, OK May 22, 1940 to Henry and Mary Lawson. Charlie was a veteran of the Army serving overseas in Vietnam and was honored by the Governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal for his service. Charlie was very proud to have served his country. Charlie held a lot of jobs during his life settling on truck driving and mechanic, he loved being able to take things apart and put it back together making it better than before. That was Charlie in a nutshell, leaving things better than he found them. In his spare time Charlie loved to hunt, fish and go camping with his family. He dearly loved his wife, children, grands and great grands and often bragged of them all. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tommy and Lynn and one sister Sue.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years Kathey (Devoll) Lawson, brothers, Tim, Duke, Donny, Dean and Jim; sister, Kathy; daughters, Linda Eubanks(Todd), Mellissa Rodgers(Brian), Amanda Harrington(Eric), and Pam Lawson; sons, Larry Lawson (Melissa), and Jody Lawson; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Rodgers, Anthony Hatfield, Justin Eubanks, Johnathan Lawson, Cutter Lawson, Tre’ Lawson, Tiffany Hemphill, Seth Kile, and Kyle Fulgham.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday March 27, 2018.
