Chapman Floyd Davis, Jr.

Graveside Services for Chapman Floyd Davis, Jr., 90, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Hasley Cemetery Pavilion in West Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Shawn Hornsby officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery. 

Chapman Floyd Davis, Jr., was born May 27, 1934, in Delhi, LA, and passed away May 27, 2024, in Carthage, TX.

Chapman was a veteran who served in the United States Army Reserve from 1958 to 1964.  He was a hardworking man who retired from Louisiana Gas Service (Atmos) after spending 36 years there. Chapman was on the West Monroe Fire and Police Service Board, a chairman on West Ouachita Industrial Board, a member of West Monroe Chamber of Commerce, and a lifetime member of the Lions Club. He was a resident of West Monroe for 50 years before moving to Texas. Chapman will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his adoration of gardening and the strong love he had for his family. 

Chapman was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Davis Taylor. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nonie Jones Davis; son, Jeff Davis (Sandra); daughter, Janet Dellacroce (Frank); grandchildren, Mitchell Davis (Morgan), Troy Davis (Raigan), Hannah Dellacroce, Nicholas Dellacroce, and Holley Dellacroce; great-granddaughter, Olivia Davis; and his half-sister, Ann Davis. 

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Davis, Troy Davis, Nicholas Dellacroce, and Joseph Flores. 

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to McGuire Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA.
