Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Worship Center of First West in West Monroe with Rev. Dwight Munn and Keith Rushing officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sibley, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.Mr. Manning was born on August 9, 1950 in Vicksburg, MS and passed away on August 20, 2014 in Monroe, LA. Cecil was a member of First Baptist Church West Monroe, LA. He was proud to be a realtor with Keller Williams and also a CPA for local businesses. He never met a stranger and was always making others laugh. Cecil loved the Lord and he took every opportunity to share his faith and his Jesus with people. He loved his wife, Sheila, and his entire family. Cecil loved his children, and his grandchildren were the world to him. He enjoyed spending time with them swimming, fishing, sports, and taking pictures with them. He always wanted to teach them “Life Lessons”! He was a wonderful Photographer and was always looking for the next picture! Cecil is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Tyler Manning; father, Cecil Manning, Sr.; paternal grandparents, John Dee and Ossie Manning; and his maternal grandparents, Otto B. and Ora Lee. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Gill Manning; mother, Mary Kathryn Manning; children, Cecil E. Manning, III and wife, Teri, Cacey Manning Narez and husband, Craig, Erin Weaver and husband, Jeffrey, Amy Roark, and son-in-law, Jay Roark; grandchildren, Mae and Tyler Manning, Case, Tyler and Blake Roark, Matthew and Jacob Narez and Jake and Hudson Weaver; sisters, Cecile Richard, Judge Toni Higginbotham and husband, Leo, Kathy Hattaway; brothers, Dr. Charles Manning and wife, Meagie and Randy Manning and wife, Kathy; father-in-law, Lloyd C. Gill, Jr; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mitchell Gill and wife, Monique, Barbara Hatok and husband, Mark, and John Gill and Clesi Neitz; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.Pallbearers will be Beau Higginbotham, Lee Higginbotham, Colt Manning, Lee Randall Manning, Drew Manning, and Patrick Hattaway.
