Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Cathy Martin, 73, of Sterlington, LA, will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Tracy Boyd, Rev. Kurt Auger, and Rev. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.
Cathy was born December 24, 1945 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2019. She was a veteran who served in the United States Air Force. Cathy enjoyed yard work, her flower beds, swimming, shopping with her daughter, trips to the beach, and a good Alabama “Roll Tide” football game. She loved being in the presence of God and studying His word.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Peterson; and sister, Charlotte Wilkes.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Danny Martin; daughter, Angie Martin; mother, Inez Peterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved in-laws.
Pallbearers will be Seth Wilkes, Ronnie Parks, Ricky Mayes, Ronnie Tisdell, Perry Chambles, Lonnie Patrick, Mike Boggs, and Billy Stephens. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Tubbs.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
