Funeral services for Catherine Watson Prichard will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 3, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Road in Monroe, Louisiana with the Reverend Chris Winterman officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, 623 US-80 in Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Catherine was born November 15, 1929, in Greenwood, Mississippi and passed away May 28, 2017, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Catherine graduated from Baton Rouge High School and attended Northeast Louisiana Junior College (ULM). There she met and married her husband of 55 years, Lawrence (Hap) Prichard, thus beginning her career as a homemaker. Her family was her first love. She, through her strong faith and quiet inner strength, was the rudder that guided the family ship; the keel that kept it steady. Catherine’s personal interests included art, gardening and reading. She and Hap also loved traveling in their RV throughout the country with family and friends.

Preceding Catherine's death are Parents, Irma Tillery Watson and Thomas Bryan Watson; Husband, Lawrence (Hap) Prichard; Brothers, Thomas Watson, Jr. and David Watson; Son, Lawrence Prichard, Jr.; Daughter, Jane Prichard Colon; and Grandson, Michael Prichard

She is survived by her brother, William Watson and sister-in-law (and best friend), Dorothy Watson; sister-in-law, Ann Watson; daughter, Shelley Prichard Burguieres and husband Rick; son, Paul Prichard and wife Paula; son-in-law, Rick Colon; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rick Burguieres, Charlie Burguieres, Rick Colon, Connor Colon, Bryan Watson and Josh Erskine.
