From her daughter:
My mom was a beautiful, wise, amazingly strong, loving and gracious lady. She loved life and giving her all to her family and others, even strangers, who she would always greet with a smile and warm words. All of her life, she used her gifts to help others, no matter the cost. She was an amazing, wonderful mom, dedicated and faithful daughter and sister, motherly aunt, proud happy grandmother. She had many talents. She was an excellent cook, a beautiful gardener, seamstress, artist, crafter, counselor and friend. My mom had a beautiful singing voice. Sometimes, I felt the glory of heaven come down as she sang. Her Christian light was brightest when she was doing for others. She was faithful, giving and a blessing to all who knew her. I and my brother were truly blessed by God to be her children. She was always there and never let anyone down when she was able. She was a gracious lady and, despite her physical limitations and changes that came with living in chronic pain and illness for the past several years, she continued to serve, give, comfort and love others to the fullest of her ability. She has left a legacy of faith, love and strength that will live on in her family and who will keep her memory alive for generations to come.
You walk with Jesus in His garden now, mama. Oh, the beautiful flowers you see! I know the angels are rejoicing and heaven's light became brighter the moment you entered the Kingdom of God. I, we, love you, are blessed by you and will miss you beyond words can tell.
I won't say goodbye, Mama. I will say instead - I'll see you soon, Mama.
