Carolyn Rose Hoffman Ritter

Carolyn Rose Hoffman Ritter, age 90, was born on November 1, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri and passed from this life on February 3, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 165 Highway North, Monroe, Louisiana at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Carol was a resident of Azalea Estates in Monroe, Louisiana for the past 10 years, where she enjoyed participating in every activity and event. Before returning to Monroe, where she had lived previously from 1971-1983, Carol resided in Bellville and Galveston, Texas with her husband of 61 years.

Carol was a loving daughter, sister, mother and wife. She loved birds and all animals, and also enjoyed playing card games and doing crafts. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Jack C. Ritter; father, Henry Hoffman; mother and stepfather, Sonah and Milo Matthies.

Survivors include Carol’s son, Mark Ritter & wife Ria of Monroe; daughters, Debby Griffin & husband Mark of Galveston, Tx., and Ronda Herlevic & husband Marty of Monroe; grandchildren, Melissa Flemister & husband Ryan, Ashley Dykes & husband Perry, Dustin Ritter & wife Sarah, Mallory Benedetto, and Vincent Herlevic & wife Ainsley; great-grandchildren, Carter Flemister, Cade Flemister, Ryan Dykes, Caleb Dykes, Collin Dykes, Hannah Dykes, Abigail Dykes, Lucy Jane Dykes, Ritter Benedetto, Lillian Benedetto, Burns Herlevic, Beau Max Herlevic, and Baker Herlevic; sister, Fran Collins & her husband Gary; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Lea Joyner Methodist Church, or the charity of your choice in her honor.
