Carolyn Joyce Jowers Laws

A funeral mass celebrating the life of Carolyn Joyce Jowers Laws, 81, of West Monroe, LA will be at 11:00 AM Thursday July 18, 2019 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Mark Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paschal Catholic Cemetery in West Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, with a Vigil Wake service at 6:00 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Laws died July 14, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe. Carolyn was retired from the Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court after 19 years of service. She was an avid bowler and a member of the 200 Club. She was a member of the West Monroe Jaycees Jaynes. In 1969 she helped form the West Monroe Swim Team at the YMCA, so her girls would be able to compete in swim competitions.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Laws.
Survivors: her daughters, Lydia Walker and husband, Dale, Lauren Johnson and husband, Gary, and Leslie Fox and husband, Danny; Grandchildren, Jared Walker (Colby), Whitney Foster (David), Mollie Cline (Aaron), Jessica Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Joshua Johnson (Miranda), Matthew Fox and Lucas Fox; Great Grandchildren, David, Daniel, Katy, Trinity, Emmaline, Raelyn, Gabby, Blake, Aubrey, Campbell, Dylan, Anna and Naomi; Brother, Doug Jowers and wife, Rutheen; Sister, Pat Joiner; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special fur baby, Gabby.
Pallbearers will be Doug Jowers, Joshua Johnson, Jared Walker, Christopher Johnson, Matthew Fox, and Lucas Fox.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Matthew Community Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
