A gathering of friends and family for Sister Carolyn Jean Elliott, 82, of West Monroe, LA, will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, West Monroe. Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart, AR, with Rev. David Mixon and Rev. Guy Looper officiating.
Sister Carolyn Jean Elliott was born August 4, 1939 and went on to glory to be with her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2022. She was a high school graduate of Stuttgart, AR, received her BA in Education in Beebe, AR, and her BA in Biblical Studies at Beebe Lighthouse College. Sister Elliott received the following accomplishments: first place at the One Man Show in Art, Best of Show, Painting and Pencil and Pen at Grand Prairie Festival of Arts. She sang and traveled with the Triumphant Singers and her family “Bill Elliott and the Messengers". Sister Elliott worked for the City Clerk's Office in Beebe, AR. She was music director of several choirs in Stuttgart and taught music for 38 years. Sister Elliott received the key to the city in Beebe from the mayor. She was a member of Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Cebee Hagler Hardin; two sisters, Ruth Wessells and Paulette Downey; and husband, Bill E. Elliott.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Mixon and her husband Rev. David Mixon; son, Phillip Elliott; three grandchildren, John Looper and wife Lindie, Hunter Elliott and wife Brie, and Houston Elliott; six great grandchildren, Colton Looper and wife
Mariah, Hannah Looper, Jackson Looper Payton Looper, Benjamin Elliott, and Charlotte Jean Elliott; one great-great granddaughter on the way, Raelynn Renee Looper; sister, Delories Sipes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
