Carolyn Boyd York

Funeral service for Mrs. Carolyn Boyd York, 93, of Fairbanks, LA, will be held at 10AM Saturday, October 7, 2017, at First West Fairbanks in Fairbanks, LA, with Reverend Chad Merrell officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop, LA.

Mrs. York passed away on October 3, 2017, in Fairbanks, LA, surrounded by family.

Mrs. York truly loved our Lord and served as a role model and inspiration for all that knew her. She supported her church, Jewish Voice Ministries International, and many other Christian organizations. She embodied the true meaning of being a “Christian”. Knowing and talking to her was one of God’s blessings to us.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years and 11 days, Mr. Gerald Rhodes “Jerry” York; her son, Steve York and his wife Linda; and her grandson, Ethan York.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca Connally and husband Jeff of Austin, TX; Bill York and wife Sharon of Sterlington, LA; Jim York and wife Dixie of Sterlington, LA; Ann Adkinson and husband Vernon of Orange,TX; and Cindy Lofton and husband Bill of West Monroe, LA; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Adam York, Daniel Adkinson, Jason York, Joshua Adkinson, Jacob York, Isaac Lofton, and Noah Hutson.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
