Funeral services for Mr. Carlos Murray Leggett, Sr., 77, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2007, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Leggett passed away Monday, July 23, 2007, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital. He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, belonged to the American Legion #201 in West Monroe, and worked as a control operator for the Locks and Dams with the U. S. Corp of Engineers. He was a longtime member of New Light Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Armon and Edna Leggett; brother, L. B. Leggett; and son, Carlos Murray Leggett, Jr.
Survivors include his two sisters, Betty Wood, and Jean Lewis, both of Monroe; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Wall of West Monroe; grandchildren, Sandy and David Leggett, and Shane and Lane Brady; and a host of nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Marshal Hill, Lannie Leggett, Pete Leggett, Merill Moody, David Trichell, Chad Wood, Brad Wood, and Walker Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Debbie, Buddy, and Eddie Wood.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
