Carl Ellis McMillan

A celebration of life for Mr. Carl Ellis McMillan, 86, of Monroe, LA will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Bart McMillan and Dr. Matthew McMillan officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 25, 2024 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA. 

Mr. McMillan was born on May 26, 1938 and went to be with his Lord on October 22, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. McMillan was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. He retired from Riverwood International as Technical Services Manager. Carl was a very active youth baseball coach for many years and served on the board of directors of Dixie Youth Baseball. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing, but above all he received great joy spending time with his family.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Lena McMillan; brother, Roy McMillan; and his sister, Barbara McMillan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty-six years, Mrs. Sandra Fleming McMillan; children, Cherie McMillan Olson (Kim) and Bart McMillan (Ocie); Grandchildren, Joshua Long (Sydney), Micah McMillan (Aliza), Matthew McMillan (Rachel), Macie Mauldin (Luke); and he adored his 8 great grandchildren, Everleigh, Lila, Vivianne, Ali, Brecken, Vinnley, Haddie, and Valor; Sister, Bonnie Leist; Brother, Butch McMillan (Sharon) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Pallbearers will be Joshua Long, Micah McMillan, Luke Mauldin, Kim Olson, Don Leist, and Danny McMillan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan McMillan, Wayne Joiner, Glen Hargrove, Joe Harper, and Don Barksdale.
