Carl Clayton "Chip" Harris, Jr.

Chip was born on October 24, 1949 and passed away on November 13, 2016 at his residence following a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving wife and family. Chip was a retired business owner and an Army veteran serving our country during the Vietnam War.

Chip is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon Miklosey Harris; his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Anna Brooke Harris; daughter, Nicole Harris; sister and brother-in-law, Liz and David Ponder; grandchildren, Taylor Grace and Elizabeth Harris; four stepchildren, Cherie Williams, T.J. Miklosey, Kerry Coon, and Michelle Miklosey; numerous step-grandchildren; and nephews, Andy and Eric Harbor.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Harris, Sr. and Annie Mae Worley; and his beloved wife of thirty years, Kathy Barnes Harris.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2016 with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM with Deacon Tom Deal presiding in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to his close family and friends for their love and compassion during his illness. A special thanks to Wayne and Cheryl McCarty, and Charles and Brenda Marsala for all the love support and nurturing during our time of need.
