Byron Kent Shivers

Graveside service for Mr. Byron Kent Shivers, 57, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Epps Cemetery, Epps, LA, with Rev. Ricky Bonnett officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe, LA.

Kent attended Swartz Elementary School, Ouachita High School, and Louisiana Delta College and worked for Century Link for over 30 years. He loved baseball as a kid, hunting and fishing as he grew up and had a special love for his family.

Survivors include his brother, William Ray Shivers and his wife Mayleng Shivers of Allen, TX; son, Brandon Bloomer and his family of West Monroe, LA; niece, Maya Ramirez (Chris) of Ft. Worth, TX; nephew, William Ethan Shivers of Allen, TX; and cousins, Randy Hunnicutt of Monroe, LA, Steven Tharpe of San Antonio, TX, Cherie Anyan of West Monroe, LA, Michael Tharpe of Missouri, Cindy Lacy of Morgan City, Mark Fuller of Birmingham, AL, and Melanie Blair of Gulf Shores, AL.

Pallbearers Ray Shivers, Brandon Bloomer, Ethan Shivers, Randy Hunnicutt, and Chris Ramirez.
