Buddy Arkie Johnston

Funeral services for Buddy Arkie Johnston, 71, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 2, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Nathan Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnston was born April 11, 1947, in Richland Parish, LA, and passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Johnston owned and operated numerous businesses which were successful through his hard work and dedication. He was a member of Living Way Apostolic Church and Barak Shrine Temple. Mr. Johnston was a past master mason of Walker George Lodge.

Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Johnston; daughter, Lisa Johnston; his other siblings; and parents.

Survivors include his son, Bobby C. Johnston and wife Christy; special companion, Sue Dehn and her daughter, Codi Waggoner; grandchildren, Joshua Heath Hoff, Jerimy Johnston, Austin Johnston and wife Roxie, Megan Johnston and fiancé Logan Hackworth, Kayl Underwood, and Brock Johnston; one great-grandchild, McKinsli Johnston; and brother-in-law, Tendal Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Dean Cason, Cary Franks, Randall Taylor, J. W. Martin, Tommy Martin, and Dr. Wayne Rutledge. Honorary pallbearer will be Arnold Ferrington.
