Private Family Services for Brooke Amity Korn Land, 30, of West Monroe, LA, will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. A celebration of Brooke’s life will be held at a later date.
On March 27, 2020, Brooke Amity Korn Land entered the gates of Glory and is evermore present with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Though her years on this earth were few and she suffered much, she touched so many lives with her beautiful and loving spirit.
Brooke was born in West Monroe, LA, on June 15, 1989. She went to West Monroe High School, but due to sickness was not able to graduate in 2007. She earned her GED and later graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor’s degree in English in 2015. She and her husband Dustin were youth ministers at Harvest Assembly of God in West Monroe.
Brooke loved making arts and crafts and was wonderfully creative. She loved cooking and preparing meals for her family and friends, she also loved spending time with Dustin, the love of her life, her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Grady Louis Korn; her aunt, Terra Ruth Korn; and cousin, Mitchell Dakota Taylor.
She is survived by her loving husband and soulmate, Dustin Trey Land; her parents, Randall and Sharon Korn; mother-in-law, Kimberly Terrell; father-in-law, Trevor Land and wife Rhonda; her sister and brother-in-law, Savannah Korn Posey and Alan Posey; her two nephews, who were the light of her life, Asa Houston Posey and Abram Cade Posey; and also a niece, who will be her namesake when she is born; her grandfather, Alfred Craft; grandmothers, Carol Craft and Linda Korn; Brooke will be forever remembered by her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and dear friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Harvest Assembly of God Youth Fund. Brooke’s passion was working with their youth group and she loved them all dearly. Although she was not present as much as she wanted to be, she made a lasting impression as a model of Jesus Christ and His selfless and unchanging love.
