Brian James Stoddard

Funeral Services for Brian James Stoddard, 46, of West Monroe, LA, will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2023, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.

Brian was born July 10, 1976 and passed away on December 29, 2022. He grew up in Houma, LA, graduated from Lafourche High School and went on to receive his master’s degree from Walden University.  Brian worked for the Monroe Police Department for over 5 years. Brian was a member of Bayou Blue Assembly of God Church in Houma. He enjoyed a good softball game, skateboarding, working out, hunting, sports shooting, reading, kayaking, and loved spending time with his family especially his sons.

He is preceded in death of his maternal grandfather, Merlin Babin; paternal grandparents, Cecil Stoddard and Betty Stoddard.

Survivors include his sons, Byron James Stoddard and Bryce Manley Stoddard; mother of his children, Brandi Arwood Stoddard; parents, Blaine Stoddard and Deana Babin Stoddard; brother, Jason Stoddard; sister-in-law, Jaime Stoddard; three nieces, Shelby Stoddard, Tanner Stoddard, and Marley Stoddard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.

Pallbearers will be members of the Monroe Police Department Honor Guard.
