Brenda Joyce Wheat

Funeral service for Mrs. Brenda Joyce Jordan Wheat, 81, of Luna, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Luna Assembly of God Church with Rev. Joel Brackett officiating. Interment will follow at Luna Assembly of God Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Wheat was born on June 15, 1941, in Downsville, LA, and passed away on February 12, 2023, in Luna, LA. She was a member of the Luna Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Wheat loved God, family, and flowers, but had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Wheat.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, John Wheat; children, Edward Wheat and wife Sherry, and Marianne Williams and husband Scott; grandson, Joseph Wheat and wife Emily; great grandchildren, Harrison, Hayden, and Diana Wheat; and two sisters, Sylvia Myers and husband Brinkley and Audrey Payton.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Wheat, Harrison Wheat, Scott Williams, Leonard Myers, Joey Hodnett, and Charlie Hodge.

Memorials may be made to Luna Assembly of God Church.
