Brenda Sue Trisler

Funeral Services for Mrs. Brenda Sue McBroom Trisler, 72, of Rayville, LA will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Start Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating. Private Interment will be held at Start Cemetery.

Mrs. Trisler was born February 25, 1948 and passed away on December 6, 2020. She was a member of Start Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years and was active in the women’s ministry. Mrs. Trisler graduated from Ouachita Parish High School. She worked for Monroe Police Department, Ouachita Parish Sheriff Office, and finally retired from Richland Parish Sheriff Office in 2013. Mrs. Trisler enjoyed bowling with friends and loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed coffee time with her sisters-in-law, Faye and Connie. She opened her home to family and friends during Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. She lived for and loved all her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Addie McBroom; sisters, Doris Lee and Jo Dunn; brothers, R.C. McBroom and Jimmy McBroom; and husband, Ray Morris Trisler.

Survivors include stepdaughter, Maria Danna (Andy), stepson, Rayland Trisler (Kym); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Stevens, Joyce Albritton (Dub), Shirley Bacon (Woody), Benny McBroom; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Zeniov Nakonecznyj “Nak”, William Earl Sharbono, Reed Trisler, Clayton Trisler, Greg Johnson, and Seth Turner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bubba Moore, Booger Howard, Joel Smart, and members of Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Start Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Start Baptist Church Building Fund.
