Bonnie Washam Cox

July 21, 1934 — August 13, 2017

Funeral services for Bonnie Washam Cox, 83, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at College Place Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Wyant officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Cox was born July 21, 1934 and passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Rosemont Assisted Living in West Monroe. She was a member of the College Place Baptist Church. She loved to cook and was always an excellent host to everyone.

Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Cox; and brother, Jim Washam.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Cox and wife, Sandra, and Stan Cox; grandchildren, William Cox, Doug Cox, Gregory Cox, Anna Wood and husband, Denny, Katie Stennett and husband, Trevor, and Taylor Cox; one great grandchild and 3 step-great grandchildren; brothers, Bennie Washam and wife, Geneva, Robert Washam and wife, Nellie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rosemont Assisted Living Staff especially the Garden staff for the care they gave Mrs. Cox.

Memorials may be made to College Place Baptist Church or to the Gideon’s.
