Bobbye Sue Freeman Ashcraft

Funeral services celebrating the life of Bobbye Sue Freeman Ashcraft, 95, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Joseph Schwartz officiating. The interment will follow immediately after at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mrs. Bobbye was born in Warren, Arkansas on May 25, 1929, and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 8, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. She fiercely loved her family and spent countless hours making her house a home. She was a member of West Heights Missionary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Bobbye was an avid genealogist, loved to read, and solve crossword puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Arden Louis Ashcraft; mother, Opal Harris Freeman; and father, Jack Freeman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David Ashcraft and his wife, Kathy; granddaughter, Kelli Barton; great grandchildren, Megan Quinn and her husband, Ty, and Molly Barton; great great grandchild, Laken Jade Quinn; nephew, Mark Freeman and his wife, Debbie; cousins, Donna Pennington, Dixie White, Lloyd Roberts, Gill Lamkin, and Mike Lamkin; along with many other family, friends, and loved ones.

The pallbearers will be Ted Johnson, Andy Johnson, Rick Sturdivant, Eric Holton, Ty Quinn, and Gary Graham. 

The honorary pallbearers will be Ray Holton, Buck Chapman, and Travis Wood.
