Bobby Joe Weatherford

A funeral service for Mr. Bobby Joe Weatherford, 75, longtime resident of Magee, Mississippi, will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, April 6, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Mario Mouser and Rev. Aaron Balsamo officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM Thursday, April 6, 2023, until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Weatherford peacefully went into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ April 3, 2023. He retired after dutifully serving in the U.S. Air Force. His career took him all over the world, before he returned to his roots in the south. He embarked on a new career in the service industry where he proudly climbed the ranks at Domino’s Pizza. He briefly worked for the park service in Key West, Florida, and in Pensacola, Florida. In true altruistic fashion, he ultimately chose to completely retire from any job so that he could move to Mississippi to donate a kidney to his brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Liesso and Ethel Weatherford, and his brother, Gerald Weatherford.

He is survived by his son, Pat Weatherford; his daughter, Pam Cason; brother, John Weatherford; sister, Juanita Stephenson; grandchildren, Timothy Doersam, Emily, Charlie and Maddie Cason; and one great grandson, Kenneth James Freeman.
