Bobby L. Simpson

Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby L. Simpson, 68, of Downsville, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Greg Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Acree Cemetery in Point, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday.

Mr. Simpson was born August 24, 1953 and passed away January 1, 2022. He was retired after many years of service with the USDA – Wildlife Services Monroe Division.

His priorities were God, family, and work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, riding atvs, and anything outdoors. Bobby also enjoyed listening to Joseph Prince, and country music, watching old classic John Wayne movies, the movie story of Jeremiah Johnson which he probably watched 100 times, and yes, of course Yellowstone. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, they were his whole life.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Simpson; son, Charlie Simpson; two grandsons, Chandler Simpson and Zachary “Pacman” Simpson; brothers, Charles Simpson and wife Becky, Randy Simpson and wife Janice, and Julius Simpson and wife Peggy; sister, Sheila Caskey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Shane Davidson, Danny Bacon, Marty Magee, Harold Henry, Troy Pardue, and Gary Sandifer, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dakota Ellis and Tyler Roark.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
