Heaven gained a lively angel in the passing of Bobbie Jean Futch Vallery on October 7, 2016. Bobbie was born to Forrest and Ruth Futch on December 1, 1947 in Monroe, LA. To describe Bobbie would be adventurous, fearless and abundantly selfless. Shy at first meeting, Bobbie would later amaze people with her quick wit and strong sense of loyalty. A humble person, she preferred to spend her day entertaining grandchildren, spoiling her dog Sam with car rides and treats and exploring on her countless trips to Black Bayou. Nurturing and adoring, fiercely devoted, Bobbie was truly a delightful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her spirit will live on through those she loved and touched. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Futch. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Jimmy Vallery; children Todd Vallery (Lisa), Christy Stidham (Dan); adored grandchildren, Shelbey Perez, Abbey Vallery, Emmett Stidham, Sarah Aydelott, Caroline Aydelott, Molly Aydelott; brother Johnny Futch (Linda); sisters in laws Janet Flurry (Ron), Debbie Windham (Doug) and Cheryl Futch; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Sam.
The family would like to thank Shannon Newton, St. Joseph Hospice; the staff of Christus St. Joseph’s Home; Dr. Scott Barron; Dr. Owen Myers; Dr. Gregory Green and the 6th floor St. Francis Hospital nurses for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Black Bayou Wildlife Refuge or Susan G. Komen
