Bobbie Lee Ates Evans devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the presence of our Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 4, 2023. She was 93 years old. Bobbie loved life, loved people, dearly loved her family and intentionally lived her faith in Jesus Christ with an outpouring of love and hospitality to all who crossed her path.
Bobbie was born in Urania, LA, on July 23, 1930, to Henry and Eva Ates. She was a lifelong member of Paron Baptist Church. She married her beloved Delbert “Doodle” Evans on January 12, 1948. Bobbie and Doodle had two children: Jesse “Butch” and Eddie Evans. She truly adored them both more than life itself. Bobbie's sincere love for family and friends extended to her community with great love. She was known for giving the best hugs, and everyone could count on her being a faithful and devoted prayer warrior. She prayed daily for every member of her family.
Bobbie always greeted others with a warm twinkle in her eyes, the best hug, and a benevolent smile. Her love for others left a lasting effect on all she encountered. She cherished her family and extended family and desired for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren to stay close and love each other always.
Her soul sparkled by finding a blessing each day, her faith and ability to have a grateful heart no matter the circumstance. Bobbie's love of life, family, friends and community has been a blessing to us all.
