Bobbie Elizabeth Gregory Mathieu

Funeral services for Bobbie Elizabeth Gregory Mathieu, 89, of Monroe, will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Deacon Scott Brandle officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM Tuesday at the Mausoleum Chapel.

Mrs. Mathieu was born April 8, 1929, in Vixen, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Monroe, LA. Bobbie retired after 35 years as head bookkeeper at The Orthopedic Clinic in Monroe and then became bookkeeper of the family business, Cloyds Beauty School.

She will see again in heaven, her parents, Odie “Bud” Gregory and Lela Moore Gregory; infant daughter, Bobbie Mathieu; granddaughter, Jamie Leigh McTurner Freeman; sister, Wilma Maggio; brothers, Odie Gregory and Ralph Gregory.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, William “Bill” Mathieu; daughter, Kim Mathieu McTurner; sons, Rex Mathieu, and Rhett Mathieu and wife Tina; grandchildren, Matt McTurner and wife Ashley, Kacie Brown and husband Ryan, Kelsie Haynes and husband Clayton, Matt McGuffee and wife Mary Kathryn; great-grandchildren, Bailee and “JB” John Bennett Blunschi, Lauren Benné Bratton, River and Rain McTurner, Vincent Haynes, and Scarlett McGuffee; sisters, Jean Plunk and Faye Hayes; brother, Johnny Gregory and wife Patsy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Council on Aging.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to mom's caregivers, Amy Freeman and Angela Powell.
