Funeral Services for Mr. Billy R. Rushton, 71, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. William Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.Mr. Billy was born on September 7, 1944 and passed away on March 18, 2016. He was a retired Assistant Fire Chief with the West Monroe Fire Department and also was Co-Owner of Gladys’ Lock and Key Shop. He served in the United States Army National Guard. Billy loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and loved spending time being involved in Dixie Youth Softball. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Flay Rushton; wife of 45 years, Beverly Rushton; and his sons, Kevin Ray and Todd Barfield. Survivors include his daughters, Kelli Freeman and Krystal Ritter; grandchildren, Kirstie Stanley, Jonathan Freeman, Massey Freeman, Christopher Orr, Grant Ritter, and Brendan Ritter; great-grandson, Cameron Clark; grand-dog, Charlie; and numerous other relatives.Billy’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
